dc.description.abstractEcuadorian journalism, during the health emergency caused by Covid-19, was doomed by news agendas, which were handled in accordance by each of the different media. Many chose to do it from the drama of relatives of sick patients in hospitals, and of deceased in morgues and cemeteries. Others told various tragedies that were experienced in different cities of the country, on sidewalks, streets and houses with deceased people. Some media focused on the corruption scandals that plagued senior officials of the Lenín Moreno government, that is, the Covid-19 was told from different themes and approaches, according to the medium. This research work carries out a study of the agendas of the native digital media: Plan V and La República; and non-natives: El Telégrafo de Guayaquil and El Comercio de Quito, around Covid19, to analyze the news situation of how these were handled in relation to the health crisis that affected the country from March to May of the year 2020 and its impact on readers. Some results obtained showed that COVID-19 became the public affairs list of many media outlets across the country. The circumstances that led to this was the declaration of the state of exception. The shock generated by the pandemic in the various sectors forced the media to frame their coverage towards this point, even the sources only referred to this situation to pronounce, however, the The difference was in the approach that each one gave in accordance with what they were pursuing as an objective
