dc.description.abstractThe present study was conducted with the purpose of demonstrating the difficulties in the learning and socialization process of a student of the Polytechnic Salesiana University, with oral communication disorder. For this, it was necessary to make a theoretical approach to the issue of difficulties in oral communication from various perspectives, the most important being the communicational approach developed by (Riley & Riley, 1951), to conclude these theories in response to the social model with that differences and human communicational difficulties are valued. The problem that motivated the present investigation, was the low academic performance of the AC student and the lack of socialization with their classmates, friends and teachers, due to their speech difficulties, which influences their educational process and their interpersonal relationships. For this research a qualitative approach was used, it consisted of observing and interpreting the reality that A.C. lives within the university, through a perspective of teachers and colleagues of the Biotechnology career, who collaborated to the collection of detailed data on the case, through the application of interviews and surveys, which contributed to the analysis of the results, which revealed how the oral communication disorder, in the socialization and learning of A.C.. The present work consists of the following parts: introduction, problem, objectives, theoretical foundation, methodology, and analysis of results, presentation of findings, conclusions, bibliography and annexes. Each point considered important for the development of the research.
