This paper aims to present a model of differential rates that helps the user to flatten the demand curve, in order to obtain a differential rate with economic savings on their final bill. It seeks to create awareness in the user about reducing energy consumption helping the environment without the need to reduce its comfort, in addition to showing the articles, laws and requirements that are needed for the sale of energy to the SEP, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of applying this system in each home. It is desired that the user knows the implementation of distributed generation with solar panels through which he would have the possibility of connecting the user directly with the network, thus helping to flatten the demand curve in hours from 6pm to 10pm, which are the hours peak in Ecuador and thus obtain economic benefits not only in differential hourly rates, but also, the sale of energy to the SEP can be considered as a source of income for each person, given that in other countries it has already been developed as a viable work in which it is shown that many users live in this way using the energy they produce as an economic livelihood and helping the planet to be much more sustainable and the energy consumed is clean energy and does not pollute.
