dc.description.abstractThe main objective of this thesis was to optimize the fuel system of the concrete mixer trucks of San Eduardo Plant from Holcim Ecuador in order to reduce filter changes, fuel injection pump and injectors' replacements, also to reduce toxic gas emissions and therefore costs. To achieve all of these, sorne specific objectives were set such as: the analysis of the overall operation of the curren! fuel system, improvement of the curren! filtering system, comparison and rneasurement of the emission of polluting gases from the curren! system versus the proposed system to be implemented.
