This thesis is based on the integration of different technologies studied along our time as students of Electronic Engineering, in order to try to be a contribution to people with visual disabilities. This project's main objective is to develop a design and implement a prototype electronic glasses that help giving a warning to blind people, indicating the distance to an obstacle by a cell phone, so that it can evade when walking. Tools were used such as the control cards, antennas, wireless communication modules and sensors and software such us: PIC KIT 2, MICROBASIC PRO, APP INVENTOR 2. Then we continued with the assembly of the control cards and sensors on glasses to finally perform the necessary tests and verify proper operation of the project. With the results we present a prototype electronic glasses that communicate via bluetooth to a cell phone able to warn both in front and to the sides of the presence of an obstacle.
