Sweat test with Ronaldinho

Abstract

This video highlights some of the details of a sweat test performed with soccer star Ronaldinho, when he was still playing for FC Barcelona and the Brazilian National Team. The test was carried out at the University of Castilla La Mancha, in Toledo, Spain, on March 15, 2007. The goal of the test was to measure Ronaldinho's sweat rate and sweat composition, in order to provide him with specific hydration recommendations. In addition, some educational materials regarding thermoregulation, hydration, and soccer in general were produced in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Este video destaca algunos detalles de la prueba de sudor realizada con la estrella del fútbol Ronaldinho, cuando todavía jugaba para el FC Barcelona y la Selección de fútbol de Brasil. La prueba fue llavaba a cabo en la Universidad de Castilla La Mancha, en Toledo, España, el 15 de marzo del 2007. El obejtivo de la prueba era medir la tasa de sudoración y la composición del sudor de Ronaldinho, para así poder proveerle recomendaciones específicas de hidratación. Además, se produjeron algunos materiales educativos sobre termoregulación, hidratación, y fútbol en general en Inglés, Español y Portugués.
