The Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE) owns the Metering Laboratory, which, together with the Energy Efficiency Laboratory (LEE), has contributed to strengthen the country's management in terms of conformity assessment for electric power consumers. The LEE, which is characterized by its specialization in energy efficiency tests, must generate great accuracy reports, the closest to 100%, because this laboratory is responsible for providing efficiency reports of domestic, commercial, and industrial equipment. The Energy Efficiency Laboratory was accredited by the Costa Rican Accreditation Body (ECA) in 2008, this accreditation was granted for a wide variety of tests carried out by the LEE, reaffirming the laboratory's objective of providing the country with measurement capacity and its need to generate reliable reports. The equipment calibration is one of the tasks performed jointly by laboratories, specifically the calibration of meters, something of great importance to ensure that energy supplied is adequate. The great demand of meters across the country causes the acquisition of different patterns, so it is essential to keep calibrated the standard equipment with which the meters are calibrated to obtain correct data in the measurement. For this reason, a system is proposed that allows calibration patterns in a faster and automated way, likewise, to improve management of information by generating automatic reports for calibration of each pattern.
