Abstract

Nada de lo que se pueda o deba realizarse tendrá éxito si el país no logra una rápida y sostenida senda de crecimiento económico y de rehabilitación del empleo digno de alrededor de un millón y medio de personas. Hemos tenido un deterioro sustantivo del empleo y de la calidad del empleo en los últimos 15 años, agravado por la pandemia. El país no puede pensar simplemente en reiniciar su marcha de la misma forma que lo ha hecho en el pasado reciente, debe de repensarse el modelo de crecimiento y las alternativas de desarrollo de cara a generar un crecimiento inclusivo y sostenible, no solo desde la perspectiva ambiental sino en sus aspectos sociales.

Nothing that can or should be done will be successful if the country does not achieve a rapid and sustained path of economic growth and the rehabilitation of decent employment for around one and a half million people. We have had a substantial deterioration in employment and the quality of employment in the last 15 years, exacerbated by the pandemic. The country cannot simply think of restarting its march in the same way as it has in the recent past, the growth model and development alternatives must be rethought in order to generate inclusive and sustainable growth, not only from the perspective environmental but in its social aspects.
