La izquierda tras el triunfo de Occidente

Abstract

Realiza un interesante recorrido de los acontecimientos políticos más significativos de lo que denomina «la revolución centroeuropea de 1989». La óptica es esencialmente europea y particularmente alemana. En este sentido, destaca las repercusiones directas económicas, sociales y políticas y las previsibles consecuencias futuras de tales acontecimientos sobre la Comunidad Europea. La izquierda de tal región es el eje central de sus reflexiones; concibe que ésta inmersa en la ambigüedad confusión e impotencia, debe asumir una posición autocrítica y de reconstrucción que la lleve a ocupar posiciones protagónicas en el escenario europeo e internacional, dada la fuerte presencia de la derecha conservadora en varios países de aquel continente.

It makes an interesting tour of the most significant political events of what it calls "the Central European revolution of 1989". The perspective is essentially European and particularly German. In this sense, it highlights the direct economic, social and political repercussions and the foreseeable future consequences of such events on the European Community. The left of such a region is the central axis of his reflections; he conceives that this one, immersed in ambiguity, confusion and impotence, must assume a self-critical position and one of reconstruction that will lead it to occupy leading positions in the European and international scenario, given the strong presence of the conservative right in various countries of that continent.
