dc.description.abstract | The type specimens of two monotypic and little-known genera of Acanthosomatidae from Bolivia, Cochabambia Pirán (Ditomotarsinae) and Tunaria Pirán (Blaudusinae: Blaudusini) are examined. Both species are described using known and new characters, and their taxonomic position is discussed. Tunaria is considered a junior synonym of Blaudus Stål. Consequently, Blaudus andicola (Pirán) comb. nov. is proposed as a new combination. On the other hand, the male of Pseudosinopla canaliculus (Reed, 1898) (Blaudusinae: Blaudusini) is described for the first time.
