dc.description.abstractIn the past decade, visible light mediated photoredox catalytic methods have gained enormous attention for the activation of challenging chemical bonds under very mild and ecologically benign conditions. In thisbook chapter, we discuss photoredox catalytic activation of carbon halogen bonds for the construction of synthetically important carbon carbon and carbon heteroatom bonds. The photoredox processes along with the reaction mechanisms are discussed.
