Los agentes causales se denominan priones y tienen características muy particulares. Sin embargo, la teoría del prión no es la única teoría que describe y explica el origen de estas enfermedades. En este trabajo se describen las diferentes teorías y se ensaya un análisis epistemológico de las mismas. | |
| dc.description | Transmissible spongiform encephalopathies are a group of diseases that affect the central nervous system of animals and humans. The causal agents are named priones which have particular characteristics. However, the prion hypothesis is not the only theory that describes and explains the origin of these diseases. In this review the different theories are described and an epistemologic analysis of the same is made. | |
