| dc.description | Las drogas utilizadas para medios de contraste se han empleado rutinariamente para urogramas excretores, Tomografía Axial Computada (TAC) y angiografía en los últimos treinta años. Si bien son drogas relativamente seguras, las reacciones adversas a medios de contraste (RAMc) ocurren y llevan muchas veces a importantes consecuencias en el paciente y en el sistema de salud. Para prevenir reacciones adversas es necesario fijar estrategias de selección de su uso basadas en el perfil del paciente. El papel del farmacéutico es desarrollar medidas de prevención y selección para el uso de contrastes radiológicos, así como la provisión y control de estos fármacos usados para diagnóstico. | |
| dc.description | Drugs employed as contrast media have been routinely used for excretory urography, CT and angiography in the last 30 years. Though they are relatively safe drugs, adverse reactions can be expected and many times led to important consequences in patients and in the health system. In order to prevent these adverse reactions, it is necessary to establish selection criteria for their use based on the patient's profile. The pharmacy's role is to the develop prevention and selection criteria in the use of radiological contrast media, as much as the provision and control of these drugs used for diagnosis. | |
