| dc.description | <p>El presente trabajo describe el fenómeno de las mareas, analizando las fuerzas que lo originan y los métodos que se emplean para realizar predicciones de amplitud y tiempo. Se exponen las características de aprovechamiento, estableciendo los procedimientos para el cálculo del potencial mareomotriz en Colombia y el comportamiento de las mareas en la Costa Pacífica Colombiana Se muestra qué factores, sociales, técnicos, económicos y ambientales influyen a la hora de construir una central de energía mareomotriz. Se presenta la gran variedad de proyectos que hay en el mundo de generación de energía eléctrica a partir de la fuerza de las mareas. Se muestra algunos tipos de tecnologías utilizadas en la actualidad, y cuál de estas puede ser adoptada en Colombia. | dc.description | The present work describes the phenomenon of the tides, analyzing the forces that originate it and the methods that are used to carry out predictions of width and time. The use characteristics are exposed, establishing the procedures for the calculation of the tidal potential in Colombia and the behavior of the tides in the Colombian pacific coast. It is shown that social, technical, economical and environmental factors influence when building a power station of tidal energy. Here, it is presented the great variety of projects of electric power generation from the force of the tides that there is in the world. Some types of technologies used at the present time are shown, and which of these can be adopted in Colombia.
