The present research is about the evaluation of mechanical simple compressive of alternative construction system of concrete reinforced walls with expanded polystyrene, in low slenderness wall, using two kind of revetment: mortar with f′cre = 14 MPa; and concrete with f'c = 17.5 MPa. Both types of walls are reinforced with reinforcement mesh and constructive reinforcement ratio. This report is focused to the Colombian context since this wall system is using often in family home construction and it seeks to break through traditional constructive systems. The analysis does not pretend to detract the general advantage at system, rather it aims to study detailed aspects of mechanical behavior based in its structural potential, lightness satisfactory and suitable stress.
