In this research, a methodological proposal is made to analyze and implement parking lots based on trips data from origin-destination (O-D) matrix and from the Urban Accessibility Analysis which is supplied by a transport network infrastructure. In Latin American cities, several factors have promoted the usage of private vehicles, leading to traffic jams, social and environment issues. For that reason, the technical studies should be addressed to enhance people's life quality, looking for sustainable solutions. With the aid of this research, trips patronage is evaluated on an urban zone, with the goal to establish future parking lots. In line with sustainable urban planning policies, the most appropriated places to locate this type of activities are found. The methodological proposal was involved in the Mobility Integral Plan of Quibdó (Chocó, Colombia).
