dc.description.abstractA wide range range of probiotics for use in commercial swine production are now available from the modern Biotechnology Industry. The place which these can occupy in applied nutrition and the scope for their use as ingredients in swine feeds to improve swine health and physical performance has been identified and recognised by their increasingly widespread approval and incorporation into mixed diets throughout the livestock industry.
