dc.description.abstract | Los sistemas agrícolas se comportan y tienen características de sistemas complejos. Como sistema complejo, las respuestas a efectos y cambios que lo afecten pueden, en unos casos, ser evidentes y, en otros, enmascararse o permanecer ocultos en el sistema. El cambio climático afecta directamente múltiples sistemas en la tierra, entre ellos, los agrícolas. Se pronostica que el cambio climático causará varios efectos —positivos, negativos y neutros en la agricultura. El control biológico, como estrategia fundamental para el manejo de plagas y enfermedades en la agricultura, puede sufrir alteraciones inesperadas como consecuencia del cambio climático. Debemos estar preparados y enfrentar problemas complejos con soluciones inteligentes, educadas e integradas, para así mitigar al máximo las consecuencias negativas del cambio climático, aprovechando las herramientas científicas y tecnológicas que tenemos hoy, tales como la epidemiología y el modelaje (en el que se encuentran los modelos de redes), para afrontar tanto las consecuencias evidentes del cambio climático en la agricultura como las que no lo son. | |
