Patients who undergo surgery undergo psychological distress as well as physical. The family also suffers along or sometimes even more than their patients. In this context , both need attention, respect , care and affection on the part of health teams , it is important to rethink teaching practices developed by nurses not only in terms of theoretical and technical knowledge but also in the way they relate to patients and their families . In addition, nursing is a profession of such responsibility, so that generates conflicts and anxieties in the professionals themselves. All pedagogical proposal for change in this profession must pass the interpersonal and intergroup relationships, as is necessary to prioritize a more humanized work. Opening a strategy based on an integrative review of national literature discussion, this study aimed to learn through literature teaching practices carried out by nursing staff in surgical centers and how these activities influence the recovery of both patients. The search strategy was performed in bibliographic databases VHL , finding in LILACS - Latin American and SCIELO , the final sample of 17 publications . Made the analyzes, it was found, especially that there has been little research on Brazilian literature concerning pedagogical practices in the operating room. About humanized care in nursing, there are lots of studies. The nursing professionals who deal constantly with the patient / family do not appear aware of the importance of this same problem. It was also found that studies conducted more than 10 years contain the same features as the factors identified in the current studies on humanization of nursing in relation to the family and patient.
