dc.description.abstractIn hippotherapy treatment by the practitioner is satisfied in their individuality , providing professionals from different fields , at the time of the session with the client , achieve the proposed objectives , within a therapeutic proposal . Necessarily suggests an interdisciplinary approach , depending on the nature of the integration of proposals for improvements in health and education of the practitioner . This technique contributes to the inclusive practice of teaching and learning for people with special needs , considering the motivation and creativity as powerful allies for therapeutic and educational work . The aim of this study was to identify the contributions of the use of hippotherapy in inclusive educational practices . The methodology was based on a literature review conducted in Databases Virtual Health Library ( VHL ) and the Scientific Electronic Library On Line ( SciELO ) , the descriptors : hippotherapy , equine therapy and health education and inclusive education practices . Studies that focused on the study theme , adding foreign language publications in the period 2003 to 2013 were selected . Selective After careful analysis , eight studies were included in the final sample . The sample presented as results that education in the riding process , the practitioner is involved in a motor activity while enabling approach and to develop emotional aspects such as self-esteem , overcoming limits and simultaneously addresses situations favoring socialization developing the practitioner in all aspects . This study contributes to the field of health and education , is relevant once explained through scientific evidence that hippotherapy works physical , emotional and social aspects which favors the practitioner , showing itself as a facilitator in a inclusion process.
