In this work, two physical systems were addressed: the chaotic water wheel system and the Lorenz. The origin of these systems are completely different. The first represents a system water wheel mechanic with punctured glasses and the second, a physical fluid mechanics system for weather forecasting. Despite the completely different physical origin, the systems present similar behavior, since we can move between the equations of both systems by means of substitution of variables. Motivated by these two completely different systems, but with similar behavior, we studied the dynamics and similarity of both systems. In specific, we focus on chaotic dynamics. To carry out the analysis, we approached the qualitative techniques of dynamic systems and perform computer simulation.
