| dc.description | A mobilidade estudantil internacional é marcada por rupturas espaciais, temporais, simbólicas e imaginárias. A perda do contexto cultural de origem e o confronto com novas referências culturais levam o estudante estrangeiro a adotar estratégias voltadas à resolução de conflitos inerentes à perda de uma imagem coerente e valorizada de si. A partir da perspectiva intercultural, busca-se definir indicadores do impacto subjetivo da mobilidade estudantil através da compreensão das estratégias identitárias e de suas relações com os processos interculturativos gerados por tais vivências. Esteestudo teve por objetivo identificaras estratégias identitárias adotadas e os processos interculturativos decorrentes da situação de mobilidade estudantil através da análisedas relações entre estas condutas e os processos inovadores decorrentes da vivência da imigração.A amostra foi composta de 11 estudantes estrangeiros de diferentes origens e idiomas, de ambos os sexos e maiores de 18 anos, sendo 9 dos programas PEC-G e PEC-PG e 2 intercambistas matriculados em cursos de graduação e/ou pós graduação da UFPE. Trata-se de metodologia de natureza qualitativa, cuja coleta de dados ocorreu através de entrevista semiestruturada e aplicação de questionário sócio demográfico. A análise dos dados se deu por meio do método de Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin. Como previsto foram encontrados elementos transversais sobre o processo migratório: as dificuldades enfrentadas, as expectativas em relação ao país de acolhimento, as possíveis frustrações, assim como os planos futuros de cada estudante. Este estudo contribuiu para o planejamento de dispositivos de prevenção de riscos e de promoção da saúde mental dos estudantes estrangeiros nas universidades federais brasileiras. | |

| dc.description | International student mobility is marked by spatial, temporal, symbolic and imaginary ruptures. The loss of the cultural context of origin and the confrontation with new cultural references lead the foreign student to adopt strategies aimed at resolving conflicts inherent to the loss of a coherent and valued image of self. From an intercultural perspective, it is sought to define indicators of the subjective impact of student mobility through the understanding of identity strategies and their relationships with the intercultural processes generated by such experiences. This study aimed to identify the adopted strategies of identity and the intercultural processes resulting from the situation of student mobility through the analysis of the relationships between these behaviors and the innovative processes resulting from the experience of immigration. The sample consisted of 11 foreign students of different origins and languages, of both sexes and over 18 years of age, 9 of the PEC-G and PEC-PG programs and 2 exchanges enrolled in UFPE undergraduate and / or postgraduate courses. It is a methodology of qualitative nature, whose data collection took place through a semi-structured interview and the application of a socio-demographic questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using the Bardin Content Analysis method. It is hoped to find in the narrative of the participants transversal elements on the migratory process, the difficulties faced, the expectations regarding the host country, the possible frustrations, as well as the future plans of each student. It is intended to contribute to the planning of risk prevention devices and the promotion of mental health of foreign students in Brazilian federal universities. | |
