| dc.description | Desde que a teoria da Evolução Biológica foi elaborada por Charles Darwin, e divulgada em
1859 no livro intitulado ―A Origem das Espécies‖, inúmeras mudanças vêm sendo somadas no
decorrer do tempo, para melhor explicar que todos os seres vivos se modificam com o passar das
gerações, e que essas modificações são decorrentes de uma força evolutiva chamada de Seleção
Natural. Sem dúvida alguma, a teoria da seleção natural foi um marco para as ciências naturais,
pois passou a explicar o mecanismo, o surgimento e a transformação de toda a diversidade
biológica que se tem até hoje. Por meio desse mecanismo evolutivo, os organismos com alguma
vantagem terão mais chances de sobreviver e irão transmitir, geneticamente, estas características
para as gerações seguintes, de forma que, ao longo do tempo, seus descendentes irão substituir
aqueles indivíduos menos aptos. A evolução por meio da seleção natural é considerada, na
atualidade, o único processo capaz de gerar adaptações nos indivíduos e populações para sua
sobrevivência no meio ambiente. Explicar essa ideia complexa aos alunos é, na maioria das
vezes, difícil pois além da subjetividade dos assuntos relacionadas à Evolução, há um confronto
da teoria com ideias religiosas prévias dos alunos. Assim, é importante criar métodos que possam
aproximar o conhecimento científico da realidade na qual o aluno está inserido. E é nesse
contexto que surgem as Histórias em Quadrinhos (HQs), que é considerada um meio de
comunicação em massa cada vez mais popular entre os jovens. Além de ser um recurso didático
lúdico, é também uma opção barata, de leitura simples e atrativa, e com presença de imagens
associada a escrita, que ajudam na compreensão e na formulação de conceitos científicos
básicos. Sendo assim, esta pesquisa aplicou as Histórias em Quadrinhos (HQs) como recurso
didático para trabalhar o conceito de seleção natural com os alunos do 3° ano do Ensino Médio
de uma Escola Pública Estadual, do município de Passira, Pernambuco. Foi realizada uma
abordagem qualitativa, com turmas da disciplina de Biologia. Após a construção da HQ pela
autora, abordando o conceito de seleção natural, foi entregue aos alunos um questionário com
questões referentes ao tema, a fim de resgatar o conhecimento prévio dos discentes. Após a aula
ministrada pela autora, utilizando o material didático, foi solicitado aos alunos que eles mesmos
construíssem suas HQs sobre seleção natural. Após essa etapa, foi realizada uma socialização
quando os alunos apresentaram suas HQs para turma, juntamente com aplicação de um segundo
questionário sobre a metodologia utilizada. Com os resultados, ficou evidente que o uso das HQs
sobre seleção natural na aula se mostrou um recurso didático eficaz, que ajudou na compreensão
do conceito. Foi perceptível que mais de 50% das questões específicas propostas no questionário
foram corretamente respondidas. As HQs se mostraram um recurso eficaz para a fundamentação
do conceito de seleção natural, foi bem aceita pelos alunos, e contribuiu significativamente para
uma melhor integração dos alunos entre si e com o professor. As histórias propostas foram
também muito criativas, facilitada pelo fácil manuseio do material, pela linguagem simples e
divertida. Conclui-se que as HQs são ferramentas pedagógicas de grande valia no processo de
ensino e aprendizagem, contribuindo com subsídios teóricos e práticos para auxiliarem tanto os
docentes quanto os discentes no contato e discussão de temas referentes à área de Evolução. | |
| dc.description | Since the theory of Biological Evolution was developed by Charles Darwin and published in
1859 in the book "The Origin of Species," numerous changes have been added over time to
better explain that all living things change over time. that these modifications are due to an
evolutionary force called Natural Selection. Undoubtedly, the theory of natural selection was a
milestone for the natural sciences, as it went on to explain the mechanism, the emergence, and
the transformation of all biological diversity to date.Through this evolutionary mechanism,
organisms with some advantage will be more likely to survive and will genetically transmit these
traits to succeeding generations so that over time their descendants will replace those less fit
individuals. Evolution through natural selection is currently considered the only process capable
of generating adaptations in individuals and populations for their survival in the environment.
Explaining this complex idea to students is often difficult because beyond the subjectivity of
subjects related to evolution, there is a confrontation of theory with previous religious ideas of
students.Thus, it is important to create methods that can bring scientific knowledge closer to the
reality in which the student is inserted. And it is in this context that comic books emerge, which
is considered an increasingly popular means of mass communication among young people.
Besides being a playful didactic resource, it is also a cheap option, with simple and attractive
reading, and with the presence of images associated with writing, which help in understanding
and formulating basic scientific concepts. Thus, this research applied comic books (comic books)
as a didactic resource to work the concept of natural selection with the students of the 3rd year of
High School of a State Public School, in the city of Passira, Pernambuco. A qualitative approach
was performed, with classes from the subject of Biology. After the author's construction of the
comic book, addressing the concept of natural selection, students were given a questionnaire
with questions regarding the theme, in order to retrieve the previous knowledge of the students.
After the class taught by the author, using the didactic material, the students were asked to build
their comics on natural selection themselves. After this stage, a socialization was performed
when the students presented their comic books to the class, along with the application of a
second questionnaire about the methodology used. With the results, it was evident that the use of
natural selection comics in the class proved to be an effective didactic resource, which helped in
understanding the concept. It was noticeable that more than 50% of the specific questions
proposed in the questionnaire were correctly answered. The comic books proved to be an
effective resource for grounding the concept of natural selection, were well accepted by students,
and contributed significantly to better integration of students with each other and with the
teacher. The proposed stories were also very creative, facilitated by the easy handling of the
material, the simple and fun language. It is concluded that comics are very useful pedagogical
tools in the teaching and learning process, contributing theoretical and practical support to assist
both teachers and students in contact and discussion of topics related to the area of evolution. | |
