| dc.description | Avaliar como acontece a reconversão de elementos da cultura popular pela moda é o objetivo
principal dessa pesquisa. Para tanto, estuda-se o caso do desfile da Coleção Nômades, em
homenagem aos 40 anos do Movimento Armorial, que aconteceu no IX Festival do Jeans de
Toritama, no ano de 2010. A coleção foi criada pelo estilista pernambucano Leopoldo
Nóbrega. A pesquisa é dividida em duas partes: A primeira aborda fundamentos teóricos
sobre moda e cultura, sobre o Movimento Armorial, sobre Toritama e o Festival do Jeans. A
segunda parte revela a metodologia geral do estudo. Usam-se métodos de pesquisa
bibliográfica, principalmente para revisão da bibliografia do Movimento Armorial, de
pesquisa documental e entrevistas direcionadas mais para o relato e mapeamento de
informações acerca da Coleção desfilada. Para análise das criações de Leopoldo, o método
de Análise semiótica de imagens paradas foi, em conjunto com o método de Explicações
semiológicas do significado, o mais adequado para compreender como aconteceu a
reconversão da cultura popular pela moda, nas criações da Coleção Nômades. As descrições
dos níveis de significação das peças criadas, mais as informações levantadas através de
entrevistas e levantamento de dados sobre a coleção e sua propagação na mídia e para
integrantes do pólo de confecções do agreste pernambucano, permitiu ao final da pesquisa
concluir que a reconversão de elementos da cultura popular pela moda se dá sob a ótica da
modernidade, e é voltada para a criação de uma identidade voltada para os mercados
externos. | |
| dc.description | Assess how the reconversion happens of elements of popular culture by fashion is the main
objective of this research. To this end, we study the case of the “Coleção Nômades” (Nomads
Collection), a fashion parade to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Armorial Movement,
held at the IX Festival Toritama Jeans, in 2010. The Collection was created by designer Leopoldo Nobrega of Pernambuco State. The research is divided into two parts: The first deals with theoretical foundations on fashion and culture, on the Armorial Movement in Toritama Jeans Festival. The second part shows the general methodology of the study. They use methods of literature, especially for review of the
literature Armorial Movement, documentary research and interviews targeted more to the
story and mapping information about the collection paraded. For analysis of the Leopoldo’s
creations, the method of semiotic analysis of still images was, in conjunction with the method
of semiotic explanations of meaning, more appropriate place to understand how it happened
the reconversion of popular culture for fashion in Nomadic Creations Collection. Descriptions
of levels of meaning of the pieces created, the more information gathered through interviews
and survey data on the collection and its spread in the media and members of the center
of the “Agreste” of Pernambuco State, allowed the end of the study conclude that
the conversion of elements of popular culture for fashion takes the perspective of
modernity, and is aimed at creating an identity oriented to external markets. | |
