dc.description.abstractThe school plays a very important role in our formation as a citizen and shows itself as an essential element for the proper functioning of society. Good training based on the development and exercise of citizenship can change a society, promoting social justice, participation and social control. The study in question was developed to analyze the perception of teachers of elementary and high school in public schools in the city of Barcelona / RN about tax education. A questionnaire was used as a research tool under the percentage of 57.4% of the population that covers all schools from elementary to high school. Through this, it was possible to raise questions about behaviors, level of understanding and opinions about the application of that theme within the school environment. The analyzes indicated that teachers have reasonable knowledge about subjects such as the importance of requiring tax documents, the negative effects that tax evasion brings to society and the importance of tax education in society and schools, however, it was observed that the presence of this theme within the curriculum of schools in the municipality, it is discreet. However, there is a notorious interestof the interviewees in relation to the proposals for the implementation of this theme, be it inserted within the disciplines or through complementary activities.
