Resumen
This paper presents some results of a research that has as object of study Distance Education terminology, specifically present in the tutorials for virtual learning environments. It should be noted that the objective of these texts is to enable professors, tutors and students to use computerized system based on Distance Education concepts. When considering aspects related to the nature of this field, such as the purpose of the tutorials and their users, and the presence and use of terminology in the tutorials, we propose the classification of terms into four thematic groups. This classification expresses one of the research results and allows us to note that the Distance Education is a knowledge field that has a multidisciplinary character, which is reflected in its terminology
