dc.description.abstractIn this project, the aerodynamics of a device adapted to carry the parachute of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) from the Hell's Barrier Rocket Launching Center (CLBI) was analyzed, whose containment fairing has a blunt geometry. A 1:1 scale model of this fairing was built on a 3D printer. The model was instrumented with load cells, installed inside a wind tunnel, and subjected to three levels of aerodynamic loading. The data collected in the tests were analyzed using Microsoft Excel® Professional Plus 2021 software. After comparing experimental data with that obtained through calculations, the consistency of the results was verified. Thus, it was possible to quantitatively evidence the need to modify the original project, aiming to reduce the drag coefficient of the UAV / CLBI device.
