Resumen
In the case of petroleum, the properties of the most important fluids are known as PVT properties or PVT parameters since they are dependent on pressure, volume and temperature. There are several ways to determine these properties. One of the methods uses empirical correlations to determine PVT properties and is widely used by industry because such properties are obtained at a low cost. Another method is more precise since it is performed through the laboratory analyzes known as PVT Analysis, however these analyzes are expensive and require a lot more time, so they are much less used. This work aims to perform a comparative analysis between the empirical correlations developed by Standing and Glaso and the experimental results of a PVT analysis using a synthetic sample of methane and heptane. The properties studied are: bubble pressure (Pb), solubility ratio (Rs) and oil formation volume factor of oil (Bo), among others.
