Resumen
Each time a new pedagogical perspective emerges in favor of the great transformations that hover over society, in which capitalism imposes that pedagogy evolve with new characters to attend to a society increasingly organized socially, politically and culturally. It was with the concern to reflect on this relation, that this research was conducted in public schools of Apodi, in wich the data collected will be analyzed and related with theorists and theoretical devices such as the Law of guidelines and Bases (1996), Statute of the Child and Adolescent (1990), Law 10.576/95, State Constitution of Rio Grande do Norte (2003), National Curricular Parameter (2001). For this, a field research is also proposed, through observations, questionings and interviews with the managers and teachers. The method to be used will be to answer pre-defined questions, interview about school routine with the agents involved, as well as documentary research about the exercise of democratic management in schools. Through the observation of these questionnaires it is noticed that when it comes to closed questions, school members positively mark management as democratic, whereas in open questions, in wich each member exposes their point of view with regard to the management and its operation, the discrepancies and dissatisfaction with teamwork. Coming to the conclusion that democracy and, therefore, the implementation of theory in practice are still distant goals to achieve in these institutions.
