O Barão livraria e galeria de arte: proposta de reuso para o ginásio Santa Águeda em Ceará-Mirim

Abstract

The present graduation’s final work has as general objective an intervention in a building of patrimonial interest located in Ceará-Mirim. The intervention will be a reuse’s project proposing a bookstore and an arts gallery for local artists. Due to the proximity between the city and the interest in the patrimony area, I thought that the reuse project is a way to show the value of the historical buildings that exist in the city. The proposal is based on the principles of authenticity and integrity since the major purpose of the intervention would be to value the city’s patrimony without a fake historic construction or some type of annex that overcomes an existing building.
