dc.description.abstractThis work approaches result reached from the Supervised Stage III, part of the curricular component of the Licentiate course in Pedagogy of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte – UFRN –realized at the Gota de Mel State School, located in the city of Natal/RN.During the internship, we can observe the lack of physical space in the school as an unfavorable condition in the pedagogical work of the teacher because it causes limitations in some moments of the classes and in the realization of activities that needed ample space, thus, the main objective of this study is to reflect on the influences of the physical space in the teacher's pedagogical work.We list the following specific objectives: understanding how the lack of physical space in the school has influenced the work of the teacher and to identify the limits and possibilities of working in a reduced physical space.The methodology used for the development of this study becomes from an empirical research, having as subsidies my experiences during the internship. We also have a bibliographic research that includes some authors such as Beltrame and Moura (2009), Freire (1992), Moreira (2007), Teixeira (1995) and Zabalda (1998). With the study, we concluded that reflecting on the spaces destined to the pedagogical tasks is important because it draws attention to a common problem of many schools, the lack of physical space, besides signaling that space influences in meaningful learning.
