Ditados: um livro para auxílio da prática de percepção musical em casa

Abstract

This project proposes an Ear Training book called “Musical Dictation”, which contains melodic and rhythmic dictations of severalkinds and skill levels, that were conceived during a three year experience of teaching the discipline at Escola de Música da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. This book comes with 2 audio CDs that contain these dictations recorded. The purpose of this material is to help the students of Ear Training to study outside the classroom. First the Ear Training is contextualized, and the most used exercises are explained. Later in the chapter there is a reflection on how the discipline is seen by the perspective of Musical Education, as well as how the authors in the field proposes working with it. The next chapter brings the results of a research with Ear Training music students of Escola de Música da UFRN, pointing their difficulties at musical dictation, as well as their misinformation about how to study outside theclassroom. Finally, it is explained how the book is structured, its types of dictations, its skill levels and its formulation in general.
