O Museu Câmara Cascudo como alternativa de lazer e turismo em Natal-RN

Abstract

The present work aims to approach the Câmara Cascudo Museum in its possibilities of use as tourism and leisure equipment, when it acts propagating and disseminating its collection and science, as well as stimulating its space, becoming a place of exchange. Through a qualitative analysis, with an exploratory descriptive character, it presents some examples of interactive activities developed by museums, in addition to the exhibitions, the use of technology as a tool to approach the public and the socio-educational and cultural function of these structures in the locations where they are located, relating such examples to the work of the Câmara Cascudo Museum in Natal, reinforcing this space as a tourist attraction. From this research, it was possible to analyze the activities offered by the museum, realizing a potential for visitation still in development. It is concluded that some marketing actions and expansion of actions and activities are necessary that bring the Museum closer to the visitor, so that it can exercise the function of modifying reality, promoting culture and human development through leisure and tourism.
