dc.description.abstractThis document reports on the activities carried out during the Supervised Internship / TCC of the Chemical Engineering Course of UFRN. The activities were carried out at the Natal Norte Sewage and Treatment Unit (UTEN), at the Natal Norte Maintenance Management (GMN) of the Rio Grande do Norte Water and Sewerage Company - CAERN. The orientation was made by Professor Dr. Humberto Neves Maia de Oliveira, supervised by Eng. Quím. Francisco Canindé Moraes Filho, M.Sc. The Water Treatment Unit (ETA), where the stage was carried out, is located in the Northern Zone of Natal, Jardim Progresso Housing Complex, on the right bank of the BR-101, km 76, towards Natal Touros. The internship was carried out in the period from 07/20/2016 to 11/30/2016, with a workload of 20 hours (twenty hours) per week, totaling 360 (three hundred and sixty) hours. The activities of the stage are directly related to water treatments in the Extremoz ETA, more specifically in the monitoring of the quality of the treated water with monitoring of physical-chemical and microbiological parameters in the laboratory; And sewage, in the monitoring, maintenance and improvement of effluent treatment ponds and correlated with the monitoring of the organic matter, microbiological load and its physicochemical parameters.
