Resumen
The reality of health services with unsatisfactory indicators, high cost and little
effectiveness shows the need for urgent change. This scenario has been
achieved as a reflection of the training of health professionals in an isolated,
fragmented way with little communication and interaction. The interprofessional
education with the development of collaborative skills for teamwork has proven
to be an effective strategy for this transformation. Based on this problem the
research aims to explore the theoretical and methodological principles of
Interprofessional Education through the insertion of the residents of Medicine
(gynecology and obstetrics), Nursing, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Dentistry,
Social Work, Pharmacology and Nutrition in the interprofessional consultation of
pre -Christmas. This is an observational case study and a qualitative approach.
The participants of the research were residents of the program multiprofessional
and medical of the University Hospital Ana Bezerra, who participated in the
interprofessional prenatal consultation. the discussion group was adopted as a
technique for data collection, based on cases attended at the interprofessional
prenatal visit. The analysis of the group was carried out through three phases at
each meeting: a pre-analysis with the researcher's expectations, the analysis of
the group discourse with the acquisition of verbal and non-verbal language,
consensus and dissent, and a reflexive phase with the disputes between the first
and second phases of analysis. The results were of great wealth with the
emergence of collaborative skills such as clarity of roles, patient centred-care
already in the first meeting, followed by team functioning, collaborative leadership
in the second encounter in order to surprise expectations within the pre-analysis
with assimilation and during the subsequent consultations on the competencies
worked. The evolution of the group during the meetings had a very positive
trajectory, evidencing the potentialities related to the service in question,
confirming the interprofessional education as a fruitful tool in the transformation
of professionals, prenatal care as an appropriate scenario, effective method in
production of knowledge and the environment of medical and multiprofessional
residences as potent and fertile to the implementation of interprofessional
education and the development of collaborative teamwork. The entire study will
be carried out based on the principles of ethics and bioethics, established by CNS
Resolution 466/12.
