Resumen
The musical instruments collective teaching has been widely spread in Brazil, the U.S. and
European countries, democratizing music education and reducing costs to the students’
formation. The good results of this type of teaching for musical instruments learning and
musical initiation are notable. This monograph aims to report my personal experience as a
teacher of guitar collective classes at the Núcleo de Música do SESI (Social Service of the
Industry), as well as the actions developed in the musicalization process of children and
teenagers between eight and sixteen through guitar teaching. I describe the musicalization
process by collective classes with objectives that go beyond musical formation, for it also
includes the development of human values such as social, emotional and political awareness,
among others. It’s also made a report about the history of the Núcleo de Música do SESI and
the history of the musical instruments collective teaching in the Europe, USA and Brazil.
