Resumen
This study aims to tell how the classes take place in the bass course in a specialized school, EMUSC through an experience report. During the research was presented a brief history of the development of music teaching institutions devoted to teaching the instrument, from the most traditional conservatories, to specialized schools. In addition, they were also presented historical aspects of the electric bass, big bass and methods developed for the instrument of education. To conduct this research, a case study was made, and as a methodological tool we used semi-structured interview in which respondents were students and alumni of the electric bass course of EMUSC. This conference aimed to collect data of those who study or have studied in the course, collaborating with their opinions regarding the classes, methods and materials used in the course plan, saying it favored or not in their learning. Responses were assessed and the results of this analysis showed that the classes and our contents match the expectations of students pursuing the electric bass lessons at the institution. But before some answers to some of the respondents, it was also possible to see that there are still points to be reviewed in class, including how to assess students both when he entered, as during the course. However, as students said in the interview, these weak points did not compromise the quality of the classes and their learning throughout the course. Therefore, it was concluded that the course should be in constant evaluation, always seeking to review the content, methodological ways of teaching, and listening to the students his collaborations for the best performance of the work.
