dc.description.abstractThis final paper aims to analyze the performance of social workers in the field of education; apprehending the challenges present in the institutional daily life, having as reference the particularities of the Institute Metrópole Digital, which comprises different teaching modalities: technical, undergraduate and graduate. Social Work has been part of the education policy since the 1930s and today operates at the most different levels of schooling: high school, university education and technological / professionalizing education. The field of education is extremely rich for the work of the social worker, who is dealing with the most diverse individuals who present countless cuts of the social issue and the imbalance of a capitalist society. The methodology used in this work was qualitative research and documentary research, together with the analysis carried out during the period of mandatory curricular internship, in 2019. In summary, the social worker must develop an intervention project that considers the permanent analysis of the corporate and institutional situation. This will provide for the construction of actions for counter-hegemony.
