dc.description.abstractThis research has as main objective to analyze the process of elaboration and development of the pedagogical of artistic group Pau and Lata Nucleus - UFRN. The project arose in 1996 in the State of Alagoas and soon after the state of Rio Grande do Norte. This work results from a literature review on education, music education, social projects, the context of non-formal education, and a field work that included the observation of the work undertaken by the project Pau and Lata. Results were obtained through a questionnaire and realization interviews with members of the group. The investigative process has revealed that the practices applied in the project contributed significantly to the socio-educational development of students who belong to the group.
