Resumen
This work aims to analyze the proposed fusion of mathematical branches (Algebra, Arithmetic and Geometry) in Brazilian education that began in the 20th century and encouraged debates in Brazil about the mathematics curriculum and the teaching methods of this discipline. Specifically, some aspects of curriculum reforms in mathematics teaching proposed by Euclides de Medeiros Guimarães Roxo. Initially, the reforms that took place in some countries that were the basis for the reform that took place here in Brazil are approached, then the First International Reform Movement is presented and finally the history and proposal of Euclides Roxo for mathematics education. Thus, this work was composed from the analysis of theses, dissertations and articles, all in the area of Mathematics Education.
