Abstract

From the legend of Icarus to Greece flying over the labyrinth of Crete, through the renowned scientist and inventor Leonardo da Vinci that man sought the dream of flying. For this purpose, the purpose of the aeronautical insurance is to transfer or minimize the risk arising from random events causing damages, based on the concept of mutualism. That is, they are financial structures that seek to indemnify policyholders and their beneficiaries in case of unforeseeable events that may negatively impact them. The methodology uses regression through the STATA software. It presents panel data consisting of the combination of a time series and cross section, in which larger airlines spend more on crew training. Exposes a study of risk in the elaboration made by an insurance company. It reports the main causes that influence and determine the price paid by airlines.
