Resumen
This work aims to study and implement the control of a three-phase bearingless induction machine with split winding and optimized drive structure using the ADRC (Active
Disturbance Rejection Control) technique. In order to reduce the number of maintenance
events and other problems such as noise and vibrations, several researches have been carried out to develop and optimize the operation of machines with magnetic suspension.
This special type of electrical machine has its operation heavily dependent on the application of closed-loop control systems. As it is a multivariable, nonlinear, time-variant system with coupled variables, it demands advanced control strategies for efficient operation
and good dynamic performance. The ADRC technique has been shown to be efficient in
systems with these characteristics. The ADRC controller considers the total disturbance
(consisting of unmodeled dynamics, nonlinearities, uncertainties and load variations) as
a new system state, to be estimated in real time through an extended state observer. On
this way, these disturbances can be compensated in real time, eliminating regime errors
and with good response to disturbances in general. As this technique still under development, its application has been evaluated in systems of different behavior. From this,
this work aims to study the application of ADRC controllers to split winding induction
machines and aims to analyze whether it is possible to control the radial position of the
rotor and estimate the disturbances involved in the process using this technique, including
in situations where disturbances external forces are applied to the machine rotor.
