The quality of an oil well depends on several factors, including cementation, which provides well stability and coating protection. Some areas of hydrocarbon production are subject to gas migration. Gas migration is a complex process, influenced by a number of factors such as fluid specific mass control, drilling fluid removal, cement paste properties, cement hydration, cement / coating adhesion, and formation. The occurrence of gas migration after well cementation can lead, from mild consequences such as the formation of a residual wellhead pressure, even more severe, such as blow-out. The objective of this work was to study the influence of SBR Latex on paste formulations for application in zones subject to gas migration. For this, two laboratory tests were adopted; A, factorial design to analyze the mean mass of dehydrated liquid through the Filtration and another, on the susceptibility of the paste to the gas injection through the Cement Hydration Analyzer (CHA). According to the results obtained, the two factors adopted, dispersant concentration and SBR latex, were significant in the reduction of the mass of dehydrated liquid, the latter being much more significant. In the CHA tests the latex-containing pulp with 3.0 gpc concentration was able to withstand the influx of gas in a period of 18 hours adopted for this test
