dc.description.abstractThis study proposes a numerical solution for the calculation of the pump card of sucker-rod pumping systems on deviated wells. The presented solution is based on a model developed for the design of sucker-rod pumping systems considering threedimensional trajectories. The presented results indicate that incorporation of the threedimensional model to the algorithm allowed the proper calculation of pump cards in deviated and vertical wells. The model makes possible to estimate important production parameters for any sucker rod system, such as flow rate and pump intake pressure, and calculate meaningful data for deviated systems, such as the side force acting along the rod string.
