The reuse of effluents for urban purposes for some years is a reality in many countries and has great potential to consolidate in Brazil, especially in large urban centers, in which it is increasingly difficult to meet the growing demand for water. This type of reuse is considered an excellent alternative, since it replaced drinking water for urban purposes, such as irrigation of flowerbeds, squares, fields, courts and open markets. With this substitution, besides saving potable water (preserved for more noble uses such as domestic supply), reducing the flow of waste water discharged into other water bodies and consequently minimizing the pollution of water sources. Thus, the main objective of this work is to evaluate the feasibility of implementing a non-potable urban reuse system for the effluents to be generated at the Jaguaribe Sewage Treatment Station (currently under implementation) in the northern districts of Natal. To this end, the entire process of confirming the parameters and the necessary safety was evaluated so that this practice was in accordance with the best legislation proposed by the cities of Brazil, since there are still no national laws or even in our state that regulate the parameters to be adopted for this activity. Finally, it was necessary to evaluate all costs in order to have a vision and assess whether the proposed systems were viable or not, obtaining values close to R $ 450,000 in savings with respect to the same use of water from springs, in addition to of a volume on the scale of 63,000 m³, where in less than 1 year the costs of implementation would already have their financial return.
