dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Phonological disorder is defined as a alteration in speech in the absence of organic factors, and may be characterized by omissions, substitutions and distortions of sound. Phonological therapy aims to change phonological altered patterns. Among the models of speech therapy based on phonology is the Minimal pair model - modified maximal oppositions. Objective: To analyze the accuracy of the Minimal Pair Model - Modified Maximum Oppositions used in the therapy of a child with phonological disorder in the city of Natal-RN. Methods: Participated in this study a male child aged five years and nine months, with phonological disorder of mild-moderate severity classification, according to the calculation of the percentage of correct consonants reviewed. Twelve sessions of therapy were performed following the Minimal pair model - modified maximal oppositions, with the phonemes /g/ and /ɾ/. At the end of the twelfth session, a reevaluation was carried out using the protocol Phonological Assessment of the Child. Results: Improvement in the percentage of correct consonants reviewed, added to the occurrence of generalizations for phonemes not worked in therapy. Conclusion: The Modified Maximal Oppositions model was effective in the therapy of phonological disorder, evidencing satisfactory results in the first sessions and expanding the children's phonological inventory. | |
