dc.description.abstractThe present work is the result of an experience report that has as its theme 'the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) as a pedagogical tool capable of providing new forms of teaching'. The work presents a reflection on the experience provided by the teaching internship in Early Childhood Education, in the Jardim II class of the Cantinho Feliz Municipal School located in the city of Lajes Pintadas-RN. The general objective of this report was to get to know the reality of the school in order to understand how classes were being held at the time of a pandemic that required total social isolation. The research on which the study was based was bibliographical and documentary in nature, as a literature review was carried out in authors who address the topic and in documents that guide teaching, such as the Institution's Pedagogical Political Project (PPP). The experience built in the contact with the school community, during the supervised internship, also helped to understand the school pedagogical practice and to know the reality of the children's audience. It was found that the teacher interviewed has difficulties, including the lack of guarantee for the continuity of teaching activities and the lack of knowledge about ICTs and how to access the internet for children. In addition to all this, the pedagogical practices used in the class were not very attractive to the children. Given this scenario, an intervention was needed to guide the use of ICTs, in a more accessible way to children in Jardim II, such as TV and brief moments with their parents' smartphones, which made the classes more dynamic and attractive. The results pointed to the need for a change in the way the activities are applied, at this time when it is necessary to carry out emergency remote teaching that contributes to the integral development of these children who need to have their learning rights respected and guaranteed, as recommended by the guidelines for Early Childhood Education.
