dc.description.abstractIn this work I sought to report the activities I developed as a teacher of musical education of a student affected by an ischemic stroke. Not only reporting the practice, but providing a theoretical basis for other research that grounded this whole project, in the text I proposed a reflection on two aspects: I wanted to show the possibility of new fields of action of Music Education, by drawing a parallel between its inclusion and the benefits obtained in health promotion and rehabilitation; and I tried to highlight the importance of music in the teaching and learning processes for motor and cognitive development considering the progress of the student in focus. I also approached the ways found to perform musicalization, in this case, through percussion, an instrument that I thought was most appropriate so that the student could develop and use this learning to express himself and acquire new skills. Wishing that this study will serve as an impulse for more people to seek to approach this great art, in the final part of the work I presented a reflection on the theme presented, focusing on the importance of investing in studies and research that enable all those interested in teaching or learning music the apprehension of new visions and new knowledge.
