Mitos e verdades sobre o uso de produtos naturais na prevenção e tratamento da Covid-19

Abstract

Fake News is the dissemination of news or information without knowledge about its veracity in different types of social networks. Regarding natural products, it is quite common to spread fake news with misleading advertisements about the use of medicinal plants and other natural products such as miracles. In general, people believe in the premise "Natural Product are mean safer, or better ", which contributes to increase the propagation of fake news. Specifically, in relation to Covid-19 pandemic, there was an intensification of the propagation of fake news about the use of natural products in the prevention and treatment of Covid-19, but until this moment is no Natural Product that can be used at Covid-19. Due to insecurity and uncertainty of a new disease, people true in fake news that provide comfort and safety. In this context, the present study aimed to gather fake news that relate the use of natural products and Covid-19 and compare it with scientific data.
