dc.description.abstractIntroduction: Phonological disorder is a deficit in the phonological domain of language. Prior to the intervention, it is essential to perform phonological evaluation to aid in the clinical process. In Brazil, the Phonological Assessment of the Child and the Children's Language Test stand out, these instruments are very different from each other. Objective: To evaluate the concordance between the results obtained from two phonological evaluations regarding: severity of phonological disorder, occurrence of errors and absent sounds in the phonological system of the sample subjects. Method: We analyzed the speech data of 10 male children between 4: 5 and 7: 2 years of age with phonological disorder. Data were collected using Phonological Assessment of the Child and Children's Language Test. Results: The aspects tested in both protocols showed a agreement between them. Regarding the classification of severity, there was concordance between the tests in four cases, yet the Children's Language Test characterized the majority with mild-moderate deviation and the Phonological Assessment of the Child presented more diversity in this aspect. They also agreed on the number of sounds absent in the phonological system of four subjects. The qualitative analysis of the absent sounds rstevealed similar findings seen in the literature. Regarding the production of errors, the tests revealed numerical difference in at least two cases, which still had non-concordant phonological disorder severity. Conclusion: There is a correlation between the protocols in the tested aspects. However, there is the possibility of different results occurring according to the phonological evaluation used. Further studies with larger samples are suggested to better understand the relationship between both instruments.
